An insurance claim is a customer's effort to get compensation from an insurance company against a risk that occurs. When you want to claim insurance, the first step that must be taken in the event of a loss is to report to MTWI no later than 5 (five) calendar days from the occurrence of loss and or damage.

FAQ
- Contact the Malacca Care Center at +6221 2598 9835.
- Visit the nearest MTWI office.
- Report the loss to the local police to obtain a Police Report Receipt Letter (STPL - Surat Tanda Penerima Laporan).
- Then contact the insurance company through the Malacca Care Center (MCC) at +6221 2598 9835.
- The customer completes the initial claim document, namely:
- Original Claim Form
- Policy, certificate, attachment/endorsement.
- Original Police Report from the local sector
- Photocopy of Driver's License (SIM - Surat Izin Mengemudi) which is still valid at the time of the incident.
- Photocopy of Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK - Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan)
- Photocopy of the insured's Identity Card (KTP - Kartu Tanda Penduduk)
- MTWI will conduct a survey to clarify the submission of a customer's car loss claim.
- If the claim submission is declared eligible for processing, then MTWI will provide a cover letter:
- Request for a Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK - Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan) blocking letter from the local Police Kaditlantas
- Request a letter of loss from the local Police Kaditreskrim
- After the Customer receives vehicle registration certificate (STNK) blocking letter from the local Police Kaditlantas and letter of loss from the local Police Kaditreskrim, to continue the payment process for submitting a claim, the Customer must complete the following documents, namely:
- Original Policy, certificate, attachment/endorsement
- Original Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK - Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan)
- Original Motor Vehicle Ownership Book (BPKB - Buku Kepemilikan Kendaraan Bermotor)
- Original copy of Invoice
- Original Release of Property Rights letter
- 3 (three) receipts (kwitansi) with 1 sufficient stamp duty (materai)
- Original Kir Book Document (for the type of vehicle that is required to kir).
- Photocopy of the Insured's Identity Card (KTP - Kartu Tanda Penduduk)
- Photocopy of Driver's License (SIM - Surat Izin Mengemudi) which is still valid at the time of the incident.
- Other relevant documents in connection with the settlement of claims.
- The process of claiming total loss motor vehicle insurance usually takes about 3 (three) months from submitting a claim. Because usually, the insurance will give the Police 60 days to investigate the related car theft case before processing further insurance claims.
- After the claim submission is processed and approved, the insurer will provide compensation funds no later than 30 calendar days from the written agreement between the insurer and the customer regarding the amount of compensation to be paid, as stated in the Indonesian Motor Vehicle Insurance Standard Policy (PSAKBI - Polis Standar Asuransi Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia).
- Contact MTWI through the Malacca Care Center (MCC) at +6221 2598 9835.
- The surveyor will contact the customer to make an appointment and arrange a schedule in terms of place and time for the car survey.
- After the survey, the customer fills out a loss report and completes the following documents:
- Original filled out Claim Form.
- Photocopy of Policy, certificate, attachment.
- Original Police Report from the local sector (if required)
- Photocopy of Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK - Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan)
- Photocopy of Driver's License (SIM - Surat Izin Mengemudi) which is still valid at the time of the incident.
- Original Police Report from the local sector (if required)
For events/cases:- destruction and theft
- if deemed necessary following the reported incident.
- Other relevant documents in connection with the settlement of claims.
If there is no Malacca Trust Insurance Marketing Office at the scene, please provide the following documents: - Estimated repair costs from local repair shops.
- Damage photos.
- The Surveyor will issue the Estimation Request Letter (SPE - Surat Permintaan Estimasi).
- Then the customer brings the SPE to the workshop to show that the vehicle has been surveyed.
- The workshop conducts a re-survey, examines, and photographs the damage/damages to the car.
- The workshop makes repair estimates, work process estimates, and the estimates are sent to MTWI for the approval process.
- Then MTWI publish a Work Order (SPK - Surat Perintah Kerja) to the workshop.
