OJK Has Not Specified Flood Insurance Claims

Jakarta's Flood

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) still has not decided the total claim of insurance caused by flood that struck Indonesia for this following 2 weeks. OKJ is still counting on that.

‘Flooding?  Still don’t know, we need time (to count).” OJK commissioner overseeing non-banking financial industry, Firdaus Djaelani, Jakarta, Monday (20/1/2014).

Firdaus explained the procedure for submitting the claim takes up to 1-2 months after submitting the claim form to insurance company.

“Afterwards, we will count. This year’s flood is less severe than the flood in 2007, which was more.” He said.

He estimates that the calculation can be done after 2 to 3 weeks after. In this process, the insurance company will know the number of clients claims caused by this flood.
